The behavior and training techniques utilized at Saratoga School for Dogs are a result of 40 years of experience in training more than 30,000 dogs for home or AKC show.

We have always believed that dogs are more intelligent than most people realize. A dog’s I.Q. has been measured from a human perspective instead of from a dog’s point of view. Our method addresses the dog’s intelligence, and teaches from the dog’s point of view.

Dogs have great communication skills, their body language being the greatest of these. Once this language is understood, it puts you on the same wavelength as your dog and can only serve to enhance your relationship. Our training program teaches you to “read” this body language to train your dog to please you, resulting in the performance of all behaviors taught off-leash, even under distraction. Your dog will learn that its reward is your love, praise and affection-your reward is your dog’s love, friendship and a lasting relationship built on respect.
